Cindy says, “This is the most emotional painting I have ever painted”.
She was asked to go the Anne Frank house in Amsterdam to see a diseased tree that was Anne’s only salvation whilst in hiding for 2 years from the Nazis, watching the tree through the seasons and wishing one day she could touch it, however, she was sent to the camps.
It hung there for many years until the artist took it with her stepsister Eva Schloss to the U.S.A and it now hangs since June last year in The Museum of Tolerance in LA.
“From this painting, I have launched all our hearts beat as one to bring humanity together through art and sound……” Cindy Lass
